As we stand with the current COVID restrictions, our members and patrons will sadly not be permitted on course for Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes Night on Friday 22 October.

For all the live action from The Valley for the nine-race card tune into Racing.com (channel 78).

As the bright lights shine on Melbourne’s racing cauldron, the curtain is raised on the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival in spectacular fashion with the 54th running of the Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes.

The Manikato is the show of speed before the heavyweight battle in the Ladbrokes Cox Plate – fast, furious, dramatic, and all played out under the glow of The Valley lights.

Like the great Manikato himself – a Valley favourite during the late seventies and early eighties – there’s an honour list of superstars that sees new sprinting heroes added with every passing year.

The names of Vain, Rubiton, Sunline, Miss Andretti, Chautauqua and Hey Doc all stamped themselves on The Valley’s biggest sprinting stage – and it’s just the start of 24 hours that are not to be missed.
