Rising New Zealand star Aegon has withdrawn from The All-Star Mile.
The talented three-year-old, who is undefeated in his five career starts including the Group 1 NZ 2000 Guineas, was one of three withdrawals announced on Tuesday.
The Leon and Troy Corstens-trained Morrissy and Neil Dyer-trained Kaonic have also been ruled out of contention for the owners.
Andrew Forsman, who trains Aegon in partnership with Murray Baker, confirmed the horse would be headed to Sydney for the autumn, not Melbourne.
That path had been flagged last week with Aegon set to contest at least the first two legs of the Sydney three-year-old Triple Crown, the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on March 6 and the G1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) on March 20.
It leaves just Probabeel as the only New Zealander targeting The All-Star Mile, with trainer Jamie Richards also reaffirming on Monday she would be heading to the race.
