Sheeza Belter has joined the race for the $5 million All-Star Mile with connections paying a $2500 late nomination fee for the March 18 race at The Valley.
The payment of the fee by the noon deadline on Monday takes the final number of All-Star Mile entries to 79 after Beau Rossa, Normandy Bridge and Sir Lucan were removed from the nominations for being unable to meet the performance criteria by the noon deadline.
Sheeza Belter showed she had returned from her summer spell in good nick after finishing a close-up second in a 900-metre trial at Rosehill in a field that contained fellow Group 1 winners Zougotcha, Manzoice and Hinged, as well as Cox Plate placegetter El Bodegon.
Elevation into The All-Star Mile line-up would continue the incredible rise of the filly, who started her racing life in Perth before some pay days east last year when prepared by Peter and Paul Snowden.
The $50,000 yearling purchase has already won $1.7 million from just nine starts, which includes last season's G1 J.J. Atkins Stakes (1600m) at Eagle Farm.
The Snowdens now have three entries for The All-Star Mile, as Old Flame and Mirra Vision were among the original nominations.
Public voting to find the top 10 most popular horses among the nominations opens at 8am on Monday, February 6 and runs through to Sunday, February 26.
The 79 nominations have contributed $50,000 to the race's official charity, the Good Friday Appeal, which raises vital funds for the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
