Get ready for electrifying performances and fierce competition as the Moonee Valley Racing Club transforms into the ultimate stage for aspiring bands and musicians! We’re thrilled to host the Battle of the Bands, where top talent will clash in an epic musical showdown for the ultimate prize. Join us to compete or spectate and experience live music at its finest.

Event Dates & Times*:

Applications open - 04 October 2024 | 5:00pm

Applications close - 22 October 2024 | 5:00pm

Competition Dates - 15 November & 22 November

Final - 29 November

Winning Performance - 22 March 2025 - After Race 5 on course

All bands will be paid $250 per performer

Judging Criteria

Judging Criteria For The Competition

Each individual in each band must be a Victorian resident aged 18 years and over Bands must have no more than six individuals per band. Employees and directors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter.

• Six bands will be selected to perform on either 15 November 2024 (Heat One) or 22 November 2024 (Heat Two)

• These six bands will be selected by a judge appointed by the Promoter who is an industry expert from the field of popular music

• One winner will be selected by this judge on both 15 November 2024 (Heat One) and 22 November 2024 (Heat Two)

• These two winners will compete on 29 November (Final)

• One winner will be selected by the judge to win the Prize
