OCCUPATION AND BUSINESS INTERESTS – Since 2008, Michael has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Moonee Valley Racing Club. His enduring dedication has been instrumental in fostering continued prosperity and innovation within the Club.

Previously Michael was Chief Executive Officer at Mornington Racing Club (2001 to 2008) and Assistant Secretary at Bendigo Jockey Club (1995 to 2000).

RACING INTERESTS AND AFFILIATIONS – Michael's fervour for the future of The Valley is remarkable, encompassing its integral role within the Community and the Victorian Racing Industry. His passion is especially evident in his dedication to enhancing the night racing product and his efforts to draw international participation to the prestigious W.S. Cox Plate. In 2009, Michael had a vision for a new Moonee Valley Racing Club. Over the years, this vision has continued to be refined and the Club is now embarking on an exciting period of transformation to create The Valley of Tomorrow. However, racing remains a key priority to the activities at the Club, and under Michael’s stewardship, the Club launched a two-day Cox Plate Carnival and has continued to invest in its successful night racing product.

WHEN NOT AT THE TRACK – Michael enjoys golf, travel and spending quality time with family and friends.
