Some of Australia’s biggest artists will hit the stage at the 2025 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival, with live music adding to the atmosphere across both days. From Mashd N Kutcher on Ladbrokes Gold Cup Night to the Australian Rock Collective after the Ladbrokes Cox Plate, racegoers are set for an unforgettable entertainment lineup at The Valley.The Carnival will finish in spectacular fashion with an on-track concert from the Australian Rock Collective (ARC) following the running of the $6 million Ladbrokes Cox Plate.Featuring members of some of Australia’s most iconic bands, including Spiderbait’s Kram, Jet’s Mark Wilson, Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton and You Am I’s Davey Lane, ARC will perform a powerful set of classic Australian and New Zealand hits. Racegoers will be invited onto the track to enjoy what promises to be a memorable finale to the Carnival.Adding to the tradition and atmosphere of the day, Daryl Braithwaite will once again perform his timeless hit The Horses before the running of the Ladbrokes Cox Plate, continuing one of The Valley’s most cherished raceday moments.The entertainment begins on Ladbrokes Gold Cup Night, with multi-instrumentalist electronic act Mashd N Kutcher performing live on the Burston Lawn Stage after the last race.Mashd N Kutcher has a personal connection to the Carnival’s Charity Partner, Myeloma Australia, with the band’s founder, songwriter and producer Matt James diagnosed with myeloma in 2023. In 2024, they released the single It’s Alright, raising funds and awareness for the organisation.Throughout the Carnival, racegoers can support Myeloma Australia by purchasing the Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pin for $10, with all proceeds helping people living with myeloma and their families.Tickets for the 2025 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival start from just $25.

ARC headlines entertainment at the 2025 Carnival 

The Valley will once again play host to a leg of the National Pony Racing Series, with the Victorian event set to take place on 3 Point Motors William Reid Stakes Day, Saturday 22 March.A collaboration between Pony Club Australia and Thoroughbred Industry Careers (TIC), the series is designed to educate young riders on careers in the racing and breeding industry, giving them a taste of professional competition on major racedays.The series features six race meetings across Australia, culminating in the national finals in June. Before the Victorian leg, Ballarat hosted a Jumpstart weekend, where participants received riding instruction, horse health education, career insights, and rider fitness training.&nbsp;In preparation for their big moment on 3 Point Motors William Reid Stakes Day, competitors will also take part in a training day at The Valley to familiarise themselves with the track.On Saturday, two pony races will be held for state finalists aged 9 to 15. The first, over 450m at 11:30 am, is for ponies not exceeding 12.2hh, while the second, over 700m, is for ponies not exceeding 14hh. That event will take place following Race 3 on the card at 1:30 pm.&nbsp;Moonee Valley Racing Club has enjoyed its association with TIC and Pony Club Australia, providing young riders with the opportunity to gain experience on a major racing stage. The Valley hosted a leg of the first National Pony Racing Series in 2023, and last year on 3 Point Motors William Reid Stakes Day held a Shetland Pony Race.With the next generation of riders set to take centre stage once again, The Valley looks forward to another thrilling chapter in this growing series.
