Moonee Valley track manager Marty Synan long wait for racing to return will be over this Saturday and he couldn’t be happier with its condition.
The last meeting held at The Valley was the William Reid Stakes day on March 30 and the annual renovation followed.
Synan said in terms of grass cover the course couldn’t look any better.
Synan said the rail would be in the true position. He said last year when they returned to racing it was at the end of July and at that meeting they had the rail out five metres.
“There’s no poa in it. I couldn’t be happier,” Synan said.
“The week is looking good with the weather Gods with us. It should race evenly and they will get into it a bit.”
