Shinn puts faith in O'Brien, Kheir

<div class="raw-html-embed">Blake Shinn says he is happy to put his faith in Aidan O'Brien and Ozzie Kheir when it comes to chasing a Cox Plate trophy to add to his collection this weekend.
The 36-year-old came close to pulling off one of the biggest Cox Plate upsets of all time when Humidor made Winx earn her third Cox Plate title in 2017 on an afternoon which saw him ride four winners.
Shinn is hoping Victoria Road is the horse to deliver him The Valley's major and he said he can see similarities between his mount and O'Brien's 2014 Cox Plate winner Adelaide.
"He has travelled down well and the reports are really strong on the horse," Shinn said.
"He is a Breeders' Cup winner and that's a pretty significant race on the world calendar and his form and profile is not exactly the same but not too dissimilar to Adelaide or other horses Aidan has brought down.
"This horse has got very good form, he is very well bred and am imposing horse and this is the race they've earmarked.
"Obviously it's the weight-for-age championship in Australian racing and it's not going to be an easy race for him, but he is well up to the task.
"He is a sit-sprint type who can hopefully just rest in the early stages and save his energy for the last part of the race."

Shinn will partner Interpretation in The Valley's Friday night feature the Moonee Valley Gold Cup, but his support rides on Saturday include Sydney sprinter Buenos Noches, who accepted in the Manikato Stakes and Antino, who he partnered at Breakfast With The Best, in the Crystal Mile.
"He handled Moonee Valley really well, got on the right legs, what you look for and he has come through the Toorak particularly well," Shinn said of Tony Gollan's galloper.
"Obviously with Tuvalu, Prowess and obviously it's weight-for-age but I do think he's a weight-for-age horse and I am looking forward to it.
"I think he is a Group 1 horse in the making … this is a nice stepping stone to hopefully Champions Day."
Victoria Road, who will stay in Australia and be trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, is a $9 chance with Sportsbet for the Cox Plate.</div>
