2021 Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pin

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES VICTORIA & TASMANIA ANNOUNCED AS COX PLATE CARNIVAL CHARITY PIN PARTNER

The Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is delighted to announce that the Club will again partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania (RMHC VIC & TAS) to raise much-needed funds through the sale of our 2021 Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pins.

The 2021 Cox Plate Charity Pins will be available to purchase online for $5 (plus postage) from next Saturday 4 September, until the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival on 23 and 24 October or until sold out.

The Cox Plate Charity Pin reflects the stunning Cox Plate Trophy, an iconic trophy in racing and world sport.

“It brings me great pleasure to announce that the Club is again partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania for our Cox Plate Charity Pin,” said Michael Browell, MVRC CEO.

“At a time when social services are being relied upon more than ever, it is vital that we support these charities wherever we can. So, if you can, please buy a Cox Plate Charity Pin and help support this important cause,” said Michael Browell, MVRC CEO.

All proceeds from the sale of the 2021 Cox Plate Charity Pins will be going to RMHC VIC & TAS. The MVRC will also be launching other fundraising initiatives throughout the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival to help us reach our target of $20,000. We are also excited to announce that Jacqui Felgate is back as the Cox Plate Charity Ambassador for the third year, providing valuable awareness for this important cause.

RMHC VIC & TAS is the cornerstone program of Ronald McDonald House Charities. It works to enhance the quality of life for families with sick children by providing a welcoming, caring, and supportive home-away-from-home. There are four Ronald McDonald Houses across Victoria & Tasmania, located at Monash, North Fitzroy, Parkville, and Hobart. The Houses are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, and accommodate up to 102 families every night. Their goal is never to have to turn away eligible families who need their services. From a shoulder to cry on to a kiss goodnight – when a child is stuck in hospital, having family around can make all the difference.

“For the third consecutive year, I am incredibly proud to be partnering with the Moonee Valley Racing Club for their annual Cox Plate Carnival Charity Pin campaign. This relationship is hugely important for us to raise awareness and generate much-needed funds. The proceeds from the sale of the Cox Plate Charity pins help provide safe and comfortable homes at Ronald McDonald House for families caring for seriously ill children.” said Peter Bishop, CEO, RMHC VIC & TAS.
