LUNAR NEW YEAR FASHION @ THE VALLEY

In celebration of Lunar New Year, our Fashion at The Valley competition is back and will award a top ‘Celebration’ look for our Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights – Lunar New Year at The Valley powered by Alinta Energy race meeting on Friday February 3.

Anyone can enter! All you have to do is upload a photo of yourself in your racewear attire, and we’ll contact you on the day if you’re a finalist.

Finalists will participate in an on-course fashion parade on the main stage between races.

Registrations close - Friday 3 February 2023 | 7:00pm

Judging Criteria

Judging Criteria For The Competition

Refer to further details in terms & conditions

  • The originality of the outfit.
  • The appropriateness of the outfit for a celebration of Lunar New Year.
  • The understanding and display of style, fashion trends and individuality.
  • Attention to detail with accessories (eg, jewellery, bag, shoes).
  • Grooming and deportment.
  • How the entire outfit is complementary and fits together.
  • Suitability of the outfit for a night-time, race meeting. National Dress will be accepted if the above selection criteria are met.

For the purpose of the Competition, Best Dressed is defined as a well-considered special occasion outfit, styled by the Eligible Entrant to be worn to the 3 February Lunar New Year race day at The Valley.
