Can I bring in my own picnic rug/blanket?

Yes. We recommend that all General Admission ticket holders bring their own picnic rugs. If you are to bring camping chairs or your own beanbags, please be respectful of other patrons viewing.

Can I BYO?

No. As the Moonee Valley racecourse is a licensed venue, alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the venue. There are licensed bars available for ticket holders to purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

What should I wear/bring?

Beanbag cinema is an outdoor cinema, and the racecourse can get chilly once the sun goes down! Be prepared and pack a jumper just in case. Layer up and/or bring a blanket to snuggle under, and you’ll have a cosy night. If it’s been a bit wet, ponchos and plastic picnic rugs are always a good option.

Can I smoke?

No. Smoking is not permitted in the cinema area. Smoking is only permitted in specified zones outside the venue.

Is there disability access?

Yes. The Moonee Valley Racing Club has disability access including toilets.

What happens if the weather is not suitable for the Beanbag Cinema to proceed?

Beanbag Cinema will go ahead if there is only a light drizzle during the day. We will consider cancelling the event should there be a high chance of rain, or the weather should otherwise make attending the event an unpleasant one. Beanbag Cinema will be cancelled 48 hours prior to the event date if inclement weather is forecast or for any other safety reason. You will be notified by email if this is to occur.

What is the refund policy?

If the Beanbag Cinema promotor cancels the event all ticket holders will receive a full refund. Ticket holders will be notified by email from the promoter with details of how the refund will be conducted. Refunds do not apply to purchasers who have changed their mind and no longer want to attend the event. If you are unable to use your tickets, you can have a friend or family member use them in your place.
