Dress Regulations
Please note that “Traditional Dress Standards” apply for the Saturday 20 August, and Saturday 3 September meetings at The Valley.
Traditional attire for men means a collar and tie, tailored trousers, and either a suit coat, sports coat, or blazer.
We will revert to a Summer Relaxed Dress Code for the Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights season and Summer meetings (excl. Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival) from the Friday 23 September meetings.

Arriving at The Valley
As an owner, simply scan your Owner’s Gold Card at the turnstiles and proceed to the Raceday Office to collect your tickets.
You are no longer required to pre-register your attendance online.
Access Areas inside The Valley
Owners can now freely visit the horse stall viewing area, mounting yard pre-race and placegetters' area post-race.
Please note your Owner’s Ticket allows you access to the MVRC’s Members’ Reserve, however a dress code applies which includes no denim, trainers or polo shirts (see Dress Regulations below). Owners who are not suitably attired will unfortunately not be permitted into the Members’ Reserve.
Only trainers and strappers are permitted to enter the Stalls Area, but owners can observe from the public side of the fence.
Swettenham Stud Owners' Room
The Club is delighted to welcome owners to the Swettenham Stud Owners’ Room which is located on Level 1 overlooking the Mounting Yard (Mounting Yard Bar).
Upon entering the Room, you will receive a complimentary beverage, racebook and access to the delicious buffet. Please note that the buffet service finishes around 8:30pm on a race night before dessert and supper is provided.
Winning Owners' Bar
With easy access from the Winners' Circle on the front lawn, winning owners can enjoy celebrating in the Winning Owners' Bar post-race.
Please note that pending group size and any prevailing density limits, some winning owners groups may be taken to the Market Place Bar. for their post-race celebrations.
As a winning owner, the Club is delighted to offer you a complimentary MVRC Membership until the end of the season - a form will be provided at the end of your race.
Dining Options
The MVRC has some exquisite dining available that you can book prior to raceday in the Members' Jockey Bar or in a Dean & McPherson Dining Box. You are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Free Parking
Free on-course car parking is available via Gate 7 Wilson Street and Gate 6 Dean Street, Moonee Ponds that will lead you to the centre of the racecourse. Follow the signs and a parking marshal will direct you where to park.
