With the recent announcement of the Victorian State Government’s roadmap, the Club will regrettably progress without spectators on course for the 2021 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival.
The MVRC Committee, with the best interest of our members in mind, considered all options and decided to grant a 7-month membership extension at no additional cost through until 31 July 2022. In addition, the Club will provide members with further benefits that will be announced over coming weeks as we obtain more clarity on when members can return to The Valley.
This decision will now see the Club’s annual membership cycle revert to the racing season program. Renewal notices will now be sent in May 2022 as we lead into the 2022 / 2023 racing season.
All existing membership benefits, including our ‘Race for Awards’ program, will continue throughout this period. Some of our popular member events will be rescheduled to a time when we are able to welcome you back on course.
We know that many members look forward to and collect our annual Cox Plate Charity Pin so a 2021 Cox Plate Charity Pin will be sent to every member, with the Club donating $5 from each membership subscription to Ronald McDonald House Charities VIC & TAS.
