Cox Plate favourite draws 15

The Cox Plate sensations continued into the morning on Tuesday when the favourite Russian Camelot came up with the widest barrier.

No horse has ever won a Cox Plate from barrier 14 in the previous 99 running of the race.

Following the elevation of three-year-old Grandslam and older horse Master Of Wine into the field, the barrier draw threw another shock into the race with the barrier draw for Russian Camelot likely to see him lose hold of favourtism before race time.
