Brody Jenner will headline The Valley Precinct on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day

Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival set for 24 hours of entertainment

The two-day Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival at The Valley on October 25-26 is renowned as 24 hours of unmissable sporting action, but off the track the entertainment will ensure those trackside get into what is one LEGENDARY event.

International celebrity DJ, Brody Jenner, will headline The Valley Precinct at the 2019 Ladbrokes Cox Plate on October 26, with Jenner one of the world’s most in demand DJs, fresh off the back of his Las Vegas residencies and global tour with Martin Garrix.

Joining Jenner on the Precinct stage will be fellow Los Angeles DJ, Devin Lucien. The two are renowned for creating a great party beyond the music. Also performing at The Valley Precinct will be two local artists in DJ Andy Murphy and DJ Chloe Wilson, who will be sure to keep the vibe high all day.

In a first for the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival, The Valley Precinct will be launched on Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes Night on October 25, headlined by RnB superstars YO! MAFIA and Horizon. A renowned sneaker freak and hip-hop junkie, YO! MAFIA has been killing them on the wheels of steel for a whopping 20 years, while Horizon is Australia’s #1 RNB DJ across the airwaves, clubs and festivals of Australia.

The Valley’s iconic anthem and Ricki Lee Jones classic ‘The Horses’ will be sung on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day, but this year it won’t be performed by Daryl Braithwaite, with the veteran Australian entertainer unavailable due to touring commitments. The song ‘The Horses’ has now become engrained into Cox Plate Day tradition and will again be sung as a crowd ‘singalong’ in an extravaganza that will need to be experienced trackside. The song will be performed in the lead-up to the running of the 2019 Ladbrokes Cox Plate. A special tribute to the four-time W.S. Cox Plate champion Winx will also form part of the entertainment on the day, with jockey Hugh Bowman and trainer Chris Waller honoured for their contribution to our LEGENDARY race.

The Club is also excited to announce Alexis van Maanen as the 2019 National Anthem singer on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day. No stranger to the stage, Alexis previously performed with Opera Australia in their 2010 production of La Bohème as part of the children’s chorus, as well as several productions for St Martin’s Theatre and Tivoli Productions, with her breakthrough role coming in Evita in 2018 with Australian icon Tina Arena. Alexis has also performed the Australian National Anthem at the NRL State of Origin 1 at the MCG and 2019 Australian Open Women’s Final.
