She's done it. Winx once again created history on Saturday but this time it was the type of history that no one could deny after she put away her seven rivals to secure a mind-blowing fourth Cox Plate victory.
Her rivals tried. They plotted. They tried to make the most of an apparent bias to the frontrunners but seemingly nothing can stop the wonder mare as under Hugh Bowman she forged clear to beat the international star Benbatl, with last year's runner-up Humidor running into third place.
Winx's fourth Cox Plate win saw the seven-year-old marvel stretch her winning sequence to 29, her Group 1 tally to 22 and her prizemoney total to just shy of a record $23 million.
