A sell-out 2017 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day.

2018 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival On Sale Monday

The 2018 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival tickets and dining & hospitality packages will go on sale to the public this Monday (May 21) and the Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is recommending customers book early to avoid disappointment.

The Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival, to be held on October 26 and October 27, will feature the 51st running of the Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes and the 98th edition of the Ladbrokes Cox Plate.

Last year saw a record attendance on Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes Night and Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day was sold-out in the lead-up to the day.

With three-time W.S. Cox Plate champion Winx a strong chance to return to The Valley to attempt an unprecedented fourth Cox Plate crown this Spring Carnival, the Club is urging patrons to be proactive and book their place in what could be a history-making day. Winx was recently crowned the Longines World’s Best Racehorse and has won a remarkable 25 races in a row following her recent Queen Elizabeth Stakes win at Royal Randwick.

The MVRC Member’s Pre-Sale has been underway since May 7 and has seen many dining packages on Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day exhausted, however there are still great hospitality packages still available. General Admission ticketing also goes on sale on Monday for the 2018 Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival, while MVRC Memberships are available for purchase from just $165.

A new addition to Ladbrokes Cox Plate Day that will build on the success of last year will be ‘The Valley Precinct’. This entertainment area will accommodate patrons in the racetrack infield and will showcase the best of food, entertainment and racing, including a headline music act and, for the first time, a post-event concert.

The Club’s premier race caps off an unforgettable 24 hours of sport, beginning on Friday night when The Valley showcases itself under lights for the richest night race in Australia. The $1M Ladbrokes Manikato Stakes has an honour roll that is unsurpassed with equine greats including Vain, Rubiton, Miss Andretti, Hay List, Sepoy and in more recent years Buffering, Lankan Rupee and Chautauqua all etching their names into its 50 years of history. The MVRC can’t wait to see who is next to announce themselves on the big stage in the 51st running of this time-honoured 1200 metre dash.

Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival week is a festival of events like no other and the Moonee Valley Racing Club looks forward to welcoming everyone to what promises to be another LEGENDARY Carnival.
