The Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is excited to announce two new appointments to the MVRC Committee.

Su-Ann Khaw and Adam Lennen have joined the Club with the recent retirement of Committee members in Martin Ralston, Emma Boling and Kate O’Sullivan.

Su-Ann Khaw is well known in racing circles, with extensive experience in the international racing and breeding industries. Su-Ann has developed close relationships with leading breeders, owners and trainers throughout Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, the USA and Europe. Su-Ann is passionate in her racing endeavours and has created a niche in her use of social media to grow awareness and engagement and drive commercial outcomes for her clients, including leading trainers such as Gai Waterhouse and Ciaron Maher.

“It is a privilege to join the Moonee Valley Racing Club Committee at this exciting time,” said Su-Ann. “I am thankful for this opportunity to assist the Club to achieve its future vision and goals, and working to promote the Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival internationally. The Moonee Valley Racing Club Committee is a dynamic team with a progressive vision for the Club, and I look forward to helping to shape the future direction of the Club”.

Adam Lennen is the Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Credit Swisse, and is a very keen racing enthusiast, having part-owned horses such as Demerger, Ferocity, Vigor, Barbaricus, Villain, Ballack and Ottavia. Adam possesses a broad skill set and highly developed commercial acumen that will be a great asset for the Committee as the Club undertakes our Master Plan project.

Chairman Don Casboult was thrilled to welcome both Su-Ann and Adam to the MVRC Committee. “I am pleased that the Club has been able to secure two high calibre candidates to fill these vacancies on the Committee. Both Su-Ann and Adam bring a skill set that will complement the current Committee and I look forward to the contribution that they will make through this exciting period for the Club”.

Both Su-Ann and Adam were appointed at the May Committee Meeting of the Moonee Valley Racing Club. The third vacant position will be filled in the coming months.

The Moonee Valley Racing Club would like to thank the three departing Committee members for their tireless work and dedication to the Club over many years.

Martin Ralston joined the MVRC Committee in October 2001, and served as Treasurer between 2002 and 2007 and as Vice Chairman between 2007 and 2011. After almost 16 years of service, Martin has retired to pursue other interests.

Emma Boling joined the Committee in April 2002, and was a member of the Marketing, Commercial and Membership Sub-Committee. Emma has retired to focus on her new role as Regional Director for YPO Australia and New Zealand.

Kate O’Sullivan joined the Committee in August 2012. Kate chaired the Marketing, Commercial and Membership Sub-Committee as well as being active in overseeing the gaming operations of the Club, including the recent acquisition of the Junction Club. Kate was recently appointed to the role of Executive Director of the Melbourne Racing Club’s gaming entity The Pegasus Leisure Group.

Moonee Valley Racing Club Chairman Don Casboult paid tribute to the contribution Martin, Emma and Kate made to the Club.

“The Club has been the beneficiary of the outstanding service from Martin, Emma and Kate throughout their time serving on the Committee of the Moonee Valley Racing Club. Martin, Emma and Kate have all worked tirelessly on the Committee to promote the interests of the Club and our Members. I thank them for their efforts and look forward to welcoming them back to the Club in the future.”
