The biggest cricket game this summer – National Jockey’s Trust T20

The Moonee Valley Racing Club is proud to be sponsoring jockey Steven Arnold in the upcoming National Jockey’s Trust T20 cricket match on Tuesday January 24 at Caulfield Park.

Arnold had an unbelievable 2010 spring campaign riding champion So You Think to victory in the Yalumba Stakes, Mackinnon Stakes, a third place finish in the Melbourne Cup and of course victory in the W.S. Cox Plate.

The champion rider will be representing the Jockeys team alongside captain Jason Benbow, Damien Oliver, Dwayne Dunn, Simon Marshall and many more high profile jockeys.

They will be playing for bragging rights against a Racing All Star side comprising of former AFL great Cameron Ling, trainer and Hall of Fame inductee Lee Freedman, former test cricketer Bryce McGain and a host of others.

The match on Tuesday January 24 at Caulfield Park promises to be another afternoon full of fun and entertainment. Aside from the cricket there is something for the entire family including face-painting, jumping castle, pony rides, cricket clinics, food trucks and much more.

The National Jockey’s Trust supports jockeys and their families in times of hardship. Since 2004 they have helped over 200 jockeys and their families to overcome their financial woes and cope during times of uncertainty.

The match will be extra special for youngsters Mitch Goring (13 years old) and Josh Ledger (11 years old) who will play in honour of their fathers who died in race falls before they were born.
