Apple Pay and Android Pay comes to The Valley

25 Jul 2016
The Valley is constantly on the lookout to find new ways to make it easier for our members and patrons to enjoy a fantastic day out at the racetrack.

For that reason the Club has been proactive in launching Apple Pay® and Android Pay at The Valley Racecourse and MV Legends Bistro, one of the first racecourses in Australia to implement the new payment method.

Apple Pay® and Android Pay are available to all ANZ customers with an eligible debit or credit card who have set up it up on their compatible phones. By simply having their smartphone on-hand, those customers can undertake transactions at any bar outlet which has EFTPOS Tap N Go terminals, both at the racecourse and at MV Legends.

“We have seen more of our customers using tap ‘n’ go terminals and this initiative is to ensure that we continue to meet the demands of our customers to make their experience better. Less cueing for food and drinks means more time to socialise with friends and enjoy our product,” said David Galbally, General Manager of Marketing & Commercial Operations.

“Being one of the first racecourses in Australia to introduce Apple Pay® and Android Pay, if not the first, we are excited to again bring innovation to The Valley and in turn, a seamless experience for all those who come out on course,” said Galbally.

While at present, ANZ is the only major Australian bank offering Apple Pay® and Android Pay, however the Club will look to roll out other banks when they come online.
