An update from the Moonee Valley Racing Club on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In light of the extension of the current Victorian Government lockdown across Victoria until midnight Tuesday 27 July, the MVRC will work alongside Victorian Government and health authorities as well as Racing Victoria on all aspects of our Saturday 31 July race day. As the situation evolves the MVRC will provide further updates on any form of attendance on Wednesday 28 July or earlier if possible.

The Moonee Valley Racing Club continues to work closely with the Victorian Government and Racing Victoria to work within the required protocols and provide a safe environment for everyone attending The Valley. This page will serve as an information hub for racegoers, which the Club will update regularly as latest information relevant to members, partners, industry participants and the wider public comes to hand.

Anyone who has visited an exposure site as listed on the DHHS website (https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks-covid-19)
will not be permitted to attend The Valley and should follow health advise by getting tested and isolating.
MVRC COVIDSafe Plan
The Victorian Government and Racing Victoria require all Victorian racing clubs to implement strict health and safety protocols to ensure that all participants, members, patrons and staff are safe.
This means that your experience at The Valley will be different to what you are used to. Please note the following protocols are currently in place:
You must “sign in” via the QR code at the entrance point for potential contact tracing purposes.
You must not attend if you are feeling unwell
You must carry a fitted face mask and wear it when you cannot socially distance.
You must ensure social distancing (1.5m) is always practiced
You must use safe hygiene practices – hand sanitiser is provided in all common areas
You must follow the directions of COVID Safe Marshals
