The new 5,000sqm civic park is delivered. Tote Park is one of the cornerstones of the vision for Moonee Valley Park, a new neighbourhood set within a grand botanical garden. Tote Park offers 67 new mature trees, 315 shrubs and around 4,000 groundcover plants. Tote Park, designed by Tract Landscape Architects, features open grassy lawns with serpentine gardens, nature-inspired playground for families and stunning flower beds where visitors can relax in the sun or the shade, unwind and get active.
Winx takes pride of place as one of the Tote Park centrepieces. Acclaimed Melbourne sculptor Louis Laumen has immortalised many Australian sporting greats and was the most appropriate person to commemorate Winx in bronze.
The original Tote building initially built in 1931 will soon be “TOTE Bar & Dining” situated within the Tote Park, it is scheduled to open in mid-2021. The building is of historical significance to the MVRC; respectfully restored to its former glory and will be retained and managed by the Club.
TOTE Bar and Dining will be an aspirational yet unpretentious all-day bar & dining venue. Contemporary casual dining is a feature of TOTE, and food is deliciously uncomplicated from well-sourced, high quality and sustainable ingredients. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available along with a Private Dining Room which is perfect for special occasions. Our unique racecourse shaped bar is a hero feature of TOTE and ideal for casual drinks with high quality, local craft and contemporary beers from 24 taps, and an extensive selection of wines. Carefully selected local and imported spirits will also feature along with creative cocktails. It would not be Melbourne without high-quality coffee and takeaway options for those on the go making TOTE Bar and Dining a fabulous new destination.
